Hi, Jorge here
Software engineer building React Native and fullstack applications. Founding engineer at Pitch Jams, a Canadian startup for pitch competitions. 3 national hackathon wins across Web3, AI, and civic tech (1st at Ethereum México). Graduating UABC June 2026. Based in Tijuana.
Shipping mobile and web apps.
I'm a software engineering student at UABC Tijuana, graduating June 2026. Founding engineer at Pitch Jams, where I build the Expo monorepo that ships iOS, Android, and web from a single React Native codebase, plus contribute to the Django backend. Before that I interned at Directive Consulting building an internal asset management system. I've won three national hackathons, most recently 1st place at Ethereum México with LiquiFi, a decentralized invoice factoring platform.
Here are some technologies I have been working with:
Outside of the terminal, I'm a music producer, a tech gadget collector, and a traveler. Big Dune fan.

Founding Software Engineer
Building the Expo monorepo that ships Pitch Jams to iOS, Android, and web from a single React Native codebase. Designed the subscription tier architecture across 4 plans (Free/Pro Pitcher, Free/Pro Jammer, Enterprise) with the corresponding access control logic. Managing beta distribution through TestFlight and Google Play Console. Also contribute to the Django REST backend: API endpoints, data models, and authentication.
IT Intern
Built an internal asset inventory management system using Next.js, Firebase Auth, and Firestore. Integrated Google Workspace Admin SDK via Cloud Functions for role-based access control, with real-time queries and Google SSO.
Selected work.
LiquiFi
1st Place at Ethereum México Hackathon (November 2025). Decentralized invoice factoring on Ethereum. SMEs sell unpaid invoices to liquidity providers via smart contracts and receive capital upfront.
AxoCred
2nd Place at Crevolution Hackathon (October 2025). B2B SaaS that turns bank debt collection into proactive credit renegotiation. Axo, a conversational AI built with Google Gemini and the Live API for real time voice, contacts at risk users before their due date, offers flexible payment plans, and syncs agreements with the bank's core system.
LegisConnect
3rd Place at Hackathon "Elegis Tech³" (March 2025). A social network for civic engagement, where citizens follow legislative activity and discuss bills relevant to them.
Yaocihuatl
Built for the Hackathon de Ciberdemocracia 2026, hosted in Chihuahua. Institutional platform to detect, document, preserve, and channel cases of political gender based violence in digital spaces. Three modules: Tlachia (observation and alerts), Machiyotl (forensic evidence sealing with SHA-256 hashes and chain of custody), and Chimalli (legal AI assistant with local RAG). Deployed on AWS EC2 with Next.js, FastAPI, PostgreSQL with pgvector, and Redis.
FRCT
Built for the MBC Hackathon. An onchain CFO that routes USDC between Base and Solana using Polymarket forecasts and Circle's CCTP.
DenialDefender
Built for the AMD Developer Hackathon 2026, Vision and Multimodal AI track. AI system that drafts hospital insurance appeal letters in 60 to 90 seconds, addressing the $262B in recoverable revenue that US hospitals leave unappealed every year. Multimodal RAG over patient charts, payer policies, clinical literature, and past winning appeals. Runs Qwen 2.5 reasoning and vision models on an AMD Instinct MI300X via vLLM and ROCm.
